Tell Me Strange Things...Come over on Sundays as we face the hardest sayings in the bible - Sunday, August 18, 2024 Is Jesus the only way to God? Jesus claims he is the only way, the truth, and life, and no one comes to God except through him. In a world that values inclusivity, Jesus' exclusive claim of being the only way to God can feel alienating. This week, we will explore this tension and seek to reconcile these seemingly opposing ideas. Instead of dismissing Jesus' claims, let's examine what they reveal about truth and faith. Together, we'll find that understanding Jesus' exclusivity can deepen our commitment to genuine inclusivity and actual love. Join us for honest dialogue and reflection on how Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Support for Jasper in the Wake of WildfiresHelp Rebuild St. Mary and St. George and Aid the Community We mourn the loss of Jasper's Anglican church, St. Mary and St. George, due to the wildfires in Jasper National Park. Built in 1914, it was a cherished community landmark. Our hearts go out to those displaced and evacuated from their homes and places of worship. We pray for everyone's safety and for the bravery of all emergency workers involved. To support the church's relief efforts and the wider community: |

WHAT WE'RE READING, LISTENING TO, AND WATCHINGEdifying content that has deeply informed our work this season! - Letter to the Olympians A letter to Christian Olympians has some wonderful insights for all of us. - Nick Cave’s latest Red Hand Files gives a succinct but fascinating response to being asked if he ever worries about being on the wrong side of history. - Jonathan Pageau, a French-Canadian icon carver, writer, and public speaker known for his exploration of Christian symbolism and traditional art, shares a sobering reflection on the much discussed opening of the olympics and its drag Dionysian representation of The Last Supper. - Pagans and Christians in the City: Culture Wars from the Tiber to the Potomac is a solid book for Christians who want to learn why our beliefs are more and more being sidleines and ridiculed in our current culture? It's not new, it happened from the beginning. |
