How to Live His Resurrection LifeSunday, April 14, 2024 We're continuing our Eastertide journey with our new teaching series, "He Is Him: How to Live His Resurrection Life." We're diving deep into what it means to embrace the resurrection life of Jesus, and we'd love for you to be a part of it. We'll be tackling some important topics together, like handling doubt, sharing our faith, and what obedience to Jesus looks like in our daily lives. Join us each Sunday as we reflect, worship, and connect with one another. And stick around afterward for some coffee and good conversation. Looking forward to seeing you there!

WHAT WE'RE READING, LISTENING TO, AND WATCHINGEdifying content that has deeply informed our work this season - Check out this engaging video where Bart Ehrman and Peter J. Williams discuss whether Jesus' divinity claims were added later in the Gospels. Spoiler alert: Williams effectively debunks Ehrman's arguments. - How Can You Know What’s Right? Here’s What Jesus Thought • Sermon on the Mount (Episode 3) continues the animated series by the Bible Project on the essential teachings of Jesus. - Can A Scientist Believe In The Resurrection? is an excellent episode of Rebecca McLaughlin's podcast Confronting Christianity where she is joined by Ian Hutchinson to discuss the relationship between science and the Christian faith. - More Than Mythology: Why Molly Worthen Changed Her Mind is an excellent episode in the Surprising Rebirth Podcast where Justin Brierly interviews scholars who affirm the reliability of the New Testament's portrayal of Jesus, alongside Molly Worthen's journey from agnosticism to belief after investigating the evidence. - Why This Atheist Scientist Became a Believing Christian In this interview, Dr. Sy Garte, a retired biochemist, recounts his remarkable transition from a lifelong atheist scientist to a devoted Christian believer. - The Bible Says Jesus IS God! This short but excellent video asks: is there solid biblical support for the divinity of Jesus? While one individual may hold reservations, six distinct lines of evidence emerge from scripture, each contributing to the argument for Jesus' deity. When considered collectively, they form a persuasive case. - The Messiah We Don't Ask For explores the paradox of Jesus' confrontational approach, contrasting societal expectations of a Messiah with his message of suffering, death, and resurrection, ultimately challenging us to embrace a meaingful life over conventional niceness. - Forgiveness in Genesis: Another kind of vision by Marilynne Robinson is a moving essay that delves into the transformative power of forgiveness and the fulfillment of divine promises amid human frailty and suffering. - We Are Repaganizing, Louise Perry examines the clash between Christian morality and pagan ethics, particularly regarding issues like sexism and human rights, arguing for the continued importance of Christian values in protecting the vulnerable. - Learn Where to Look for God's Kingdom • Sermon on the Mount (Episode 1) is an excellent animated offering by the Bible Project on the essential teachings of Jesus. Definitely keep up with this series! - Body of Proof: The 7 Best Reasons to Believe in the Resurrection of Jesus--and Why It Matters Dr. Jeremiah Johnston explores the profound significance of Jesus' resurrection, offering seven compelling reasons supported by evidence.
